New England Quarterfinals Begin This Weekend

New Location Chosen as MCRC Field Is Shot
The New England Rugby Football Union Championship match play will begin this weekend with quarterfinal matches across the conference set for Saturday, October 22, 2005. Due to unplayable conditions at the MCRC pitch, the Panthers will play their match in Rutland, Vermont at the Rutland Men's Club pitch.

Middlebury will face Trinity College at 1:00pm.
Since Trinity has no B squad the MCRC Killer B's will be taking on Dartmouth University's "rookie squad' following the A match at approximately 2:30pm.
Prior to the men's matches, the MCRC Women will take on Univ. of Vermont at 11:00am.

Directions to the Rutland pitch:



From NORTH:
Take US Route 7 into Rutland. In Rutland turn right onto Business Route 4A. Take 4A all the way through Center Rutland and on into West Rutland. Once in West Rutland, bear right at the flashing red light onto Marble Street. The field is .9 miles on left, look carefully for the entrance to the field as the pitch is not visible from the road.

From SOUTH:
Take US 7 North into Rutland, and turn left onto US Route 4 at the Diamond Run Mall. Take US 4 to Exit 6/West Rutland. Bear right at the bottom of the ramp, and then turn left at the traffic light onto US 4A toward West Rutland. At the flashing red light, turn right onto Marble Street. The field is .9 miles on left, look carefully for the entrance to the field as the pitch is not visible from the road.

FROM ALBANY / WEST:
North on I 87 to Exit 20, Rt-149/Fort Ann/Whitehall. At end of ramp, turn left onto US9N. After approximately one mile turn right onto NY149. In Fort Ann, turn left onto US4 East. Stay on Route 4 all the way to Exit 6/West Rutland. At the bottom of the ramp turn left, then at the traffice light turn left onto US Route 4A toward West Rutland. At the flashing red light, turn right onto Marble Street. The field is .9 miles on left, look carefully for the entrance to the field as the pitch is not visible from the road.

FROM THE EAST: Take US 4 West into Rutland, and at the intersection with Route 7 turn left/south. Take the next right onto Business Route 4A. Take 4A all the way through Center Rutland and on into West Rutland. Once in West Rutland, bear right at the flashing red light onto Marble Street.
