Saturday, 10.21.06 Middlebury, VT In NERFU Quarterfinal action the #1 Middlebury College Rugby Club faced the #8 seeded Boston University Rugby Club for the second time this year. Playing under grey overcast skies on a wet, sloppy pitch didn't hamper the free-running Panthers ground game much. The turf, quite unlike BU's artificial surface of BU's Nickerson Field (site of both teams' season opener) did cause problems for BU though who managed only two tries and no conversion points in the match. MCRC won handily with a final score of 36-10 .

Next Up:MCRC hosts the New England Championship semi and final matches on Saturday and Sunday, October 28-29. The top four teams in the NERFU Northeast Division will compete. Here's hoping for a Sunday MCRC rematch with US Coast Guard Academy.
